Log Cabin Specifications

Woodford Log Cabins are made to order. We’ll manufacture your cabin when you pay the initial deposit. You have two options;

  • Specify one of our pre-defined Log Cabins, with a choice of bespoke options
  • Design your own Log Cabin, in conjunction with our inhouse Design Team.

Here we outline the general options available for bespoke Log Cabins and things to consider when defining your requirements.

Pre-Defined Specifications

It’s exciting to define your own home or extra space but before we get to the fun part, be aware that certain components of all our log cabin are fixed, to deliver excellent quality products. And there are other additional costs associated with installing a Log Cabin living space.

  • A minimum wall thickness of 44mm is essential
  • The timber we use is Scandinavian Spruce
  • Double walls are necessary to allow for insulation (Irish winters!)
  • The following elements are not included;
  • Concrete Base, Electrics, Plumbing, Heating, Painting.

Restol Recommended

  • We recommend that you treat your Log Cabin with Restol once installed.
  • This is not included, however we offer Log Cabin customers only a significant discount on Restol. This can be purchased on this site Contact Us for the discount code.

Personalise Your Log Cabin

The easiest way to specify what you want is to work through the purchase process on this site.

  • Choose the right category of Log Cabin – Residential, Leisure, Office or Home Storage/Shed.
  • Choose from a choice of Log Cabins in that Category. For example, if you choose Residential, your options will include One Bed, Two Bed cabins, please contact us for information on 3 and 4 bedroom cabins.
  • You’ll then be given a choice of bespoke specifications depending on the product-type you have chosen.

Residential Log Cabins

Whether you want a log cabin home that’s built to the highest possible spec or a comfortable, low-cost budget house, Woodford can suit your objectives. For example, you can choose to;

  • Request a cabin size that suits your needs or space.
  • Change door and window style.
  • Change door and window positions.
  • Add doors and windows.
  • Remove insulation which is supplied as standard in all our residential log cabins.
  • Pick from a range of roof coverings.
  • Add a front roof overhang.
  • Add a covered decked veranda.

Leisure and Office Log Cabins

We have a large variety of options available on our range of garden rooms and home offices. As we manufacture on site in Ireland we can supply to suit your requirements. For example, you can choose to;

  • Request a cabin size that suits your needs or space.
  • Change door and window styles.
  • Add additional doors or windows.
  • Move door and window positions.
  • Upgrade your windows to uPVC.
  • Add internal walls.
  • Add wall, roof and floor insulation.
  • Add a front roof overhang.
  • Add a covered decked veranda.
  • Pick from a range of roof coverings.
  • Add guttering to your cabin.
